How CK Horizon handles the personal information of the people who use and contribute to the atlas.

When you create an account we store your display name, email address, chosen password (hashed, never in plain text) and optional organisation. When you contribute or review a record we store which account performed the action and when, in an audit log.
Account data lets you sign in, attribute your contributions and lets reviewers contact you about a record. The audit log exists so every change to a public record is accountable and reversible.
Incident coordinates you submit are stored at full precision in the database. Approximate and sensitive locations are reduced in precision before they are returned by the API or shown on public maps and record pages.
We do not sell personal data, we do not run third-party advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not share your email with other users.
You can update your profile or request deletion of your account from your account settings or by contacting the team on the About page. Contributions already published stay in the public record but can be re-attributed to a removed account.
