Use the atlas for lawful research, reporting and conservation purposes. Do not attempt to de-anonymise reduced-precision locations, scrape the service in a way that degrades it for others, or upload content you do not have the right to share.
When you submit a record, complete the fields from the cited source without guessing. Record unknown causes as unknown. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for having permission to use any source you attach.
Submitting a record does not publish it as verified. A reviewer may verify, reject, dispute or request more evidence. Reviewers act in good faith on the evidence available; verification is a judgement, not a guarantee.
The service may change or be unavailable at times. These terms and the other policy pages may be updated; the "last updated" date at the top of each page shows when.
